Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our providers also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels. We use them to make the site work, to remember your preferences, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

2. The categories we use

• Strictly necessary, required for the site to function (for example, security and remembering choices like a dismissed banner). These cannot be switched off in our systems.
• Analytics and performance, help us understand traffic and usage so we can improve the site. We use privacy-conscious analytics, including PostHog (product analytics), Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights (traffic and performance), and Plausible (privacy-friendly web analytics).
• Advertising and measurement, let us see which ads bring people to our site and show our own ads to people who have visited it. We use Google Ads (Google LLC) for conversion measurement and remarketing audiences. These cookies and identifiers are set on our marketing website only. When you submit a form, we also send Google an irreversible hashed version of the email address you gave us, so Google can tell us the enquiry came from one of our ads. Google does not receive the address itself.

We do not sell your personal information. We do use advertising cookies and identifiers on this website, which some U.S. state privacy laws treat as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you can opt out of it as described below. This applies only to visitors to our marketing website. We never use the customer information our business customers entrust to the Service for advertising of any kind.

3. How to control cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. To opt out of advertising cookies, and of the “sharing” of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising, enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser or a browser extension. We detect that signal automatically and, when it is present, we instruct Google to restrict how it processes your information and we switch off ad personalization. You do not need to contact us for this to take effect. You can also email us at hello@referralbooster.ca to exercise any of the rights described in our Privacy Policy.

Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings or help section.

4. Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will change. Questions? Email hello@referralbooster.ca.
